"When I turned up at the Holiday Inn on Friday to see a Range Rover being driven up the steps, into the foyer, I new its wasn't going to be any old night. Touch FM’s Pride Of Stratford Awards were a celebration of everything local. From the set which came from Redditch to a lighting company in Warwick, everything from the ground up was local - even the coffee was from Stratford.

I spent the evening dashing between interviews, hosting awards and celebrating with the winners. Special congratulations to Daimon Cornock, a hotel porter from the Ettington Park Hotel who suffers from tourettes syndrome. He won the Judges Special Commendation Award for his outstanding customer service and was overwhelmed to come up on stage, I had the pleasure of handing over the award on behalf of Touch FM. Gwen Smith won the 'Citizen Of The Year' award for her service to the local area. Many of you will know Gwen, who was born in Snitterfield in 1921 and has spent the last 91 years giving to the local community, she looked a million dollars and showed no sign of slowing down, partying into the early hours with her family.

Andrew James was there at the end of the evening playing some amazing songs, as always. Catch him again this Friday morning on the Breakfast Show from 08.00am, as always.

A big thank you to those who attended, the sponsors and of course the nominees and Winners.

Look out for an on-air documentary of the Pride of Stratford Awards coming very soon, and check out the videos and photos online atmytouchfm.co.ukor Facebook/102touchfm.

Have a great week!

Ollie & the team x"
