Blitz Soundtrack Competition

The Blitz Commemoration Song/Composition

We are looking for a fitting song that will commemorate 70 years since the blitz in Coventry. It's non-genre specific so be as creative as you want in coming up with a song. Feel free to go down to the Transport museum in Coventry and draw up some inspiration. This winner will have a single released which will have been recorded at a professional recording studio. Here are the rules and regulations... 

By entering the promotion all our usual Terms and Conditions apply, in addition the following terms are applicable:

• By entering the promotion applicants agree to abide by the stations general Terms and Conditionsplus specific terms for the promotion.

• All entries must not exceed the duration of 4 mins 30 secs in length.

• All entries must be an original work or composition

• Everyone submitting their entry must be 16 yrs or over.

• All rights to the submitted work are retained by the composer/writer for future publication or performance.

• Closing date for entries is Friday 30^th July – the judging will take place between this date and 29^th September.

• The winning song or composition will be announced via the radio station on Thursday 30^th September.

• The judge's decision is final at all times. No correspondence will be entered into.

• The prize is a day's recording (10 hrs maximum) of the winning piece at Ro-Lo studios in Coventry with Grammy Award winning producer Roger Lomas.

• Any additional instruments or players needed for the recording session are to be provided by the winner.

• The finished recorded piece is to be broadcast on the radio on Sunday 14^th November – Remembrance Day and then available as a download from Monday 15^th November via this website and Coventry Transport Museum's website.

• There is no cash or musical equipment equivalent for the prize.

• All usual competition terms and conditions apply.
