What a weekend – we got the first (and probably last) glimpse of Summer. Yep, 48 hours of back to back sunshine and no sign of a hosepipe ban...yet!
But one thing that always makes me laugh in the UK is no matter what the temperature is, there's always some people out with their shorts on. Let's be honest it wasn't that warm – my car temperature gauge registered up to 17 degrees, but clearly for some people that was hot enough to get their pasty white legs out and offend my eyes! And some people were even walking round with their tops off and beer guts hanging out – save it for the beach on the Costa Del Sol please!
I've had an idea to stop all of this – there should be a new law brought in, a law that states that people can only wear shorts if the weather hits the magic 20 degrees Celsius, and there's not a cloud in the sky! People who fail to adhere to that should be issued with an on the spot fine and sent to the nearest clothes shop to buy a pair of jeans!
Hope you enjoyed the Summer – it'll be back for a day or two next year!
