Myton Hospice Twilight Walk
Everyone can enjoy a night out with a difference at a charity event in Coventry this summer!
People of all ages are invited to take part in the Twilight Walk on Saturday 18th June and, better still, they can raise money for their local hospice at the same time.
The mystical themed evening is being held at Ryton Pools Country Park and will raise money for The Myton Hospices.
The sponsored walk starts at 7pm and is being run in partnership with Touch FM. Breakfast presenters Ben & Louisa along with Spot the Dog will be on hand to start the event and entertain those taking part.
There are two distances of either 4km or 8km to take part in and people can choose to walk, jog or run the route.
Participants are invited to dress as fairies and pixies and can stay in the grounds after the event to enjoy a picnic. Touch FM will also be on hand to create a party atmosphere and there will be entertainment available for all ages to enjoy!
The charity is hoping to attract around 350 participants and raise £15,000 in sponsorship, which will go towards providing support and care for terminally ill people and their families. Registration for the event costs £10 for adults and £5 for children ages 12 years and under. Everyone will receive a goody bag upon completion of the route.
Events Manager Charlotte Ingram said: "This is an alternative night out friends & family and a chance for everyone to have a great night with their loved ones while raising money for charity".
"Last year we helped over 2,000 local people and we are hoping to raise as much money as possible from this walk so that we can continue to be there for our patients and their families when they need us most."
The Myton Hospices need to raise over £6.7 million a year in voluntary donations to keep all three hospices running and simply can’t do it without local support.
If you don’t want to take part in the walk you can help out by volunteering at the event.
