Police are investigating an incident in Bourton-on-the-Water where a woman was grabbed whilst out with her young child.
At approximately 6:30pm on the evening of Friday 26 January, the woman, aged in her 30s, was grabbed from behind while she was pushing her child in a pushchair.
She had been walking on the A429 footpath heading from the direction of Stow-on-the-Wold, approximately 200 yards prior to the Coach & Horses inn.
The woman managed to hit the offender, which caused him to fall to the ground. She then fled the scene with her young child and both were unharmed in the incident.
It is not yet known what the motivation of this incident was.
Officers are currently conducting searches of the area and will be doing house to house enquiries throughout the evening.
