Teen approached by man in Warwick

Friday, July 23rd 2010 00:00

Police are hunting a man who asked a teenage girl to get into his car in Warwick.

The fifteen year old was waiting for a friend near Aylesford School on Wednesday night when she was approached by the man who told her she was pretty.

He fled when the girl twice refused to get into his vehicle and she phoned police.

The offender is described as a white male aged 40-45 years of age, about 5'8" tall, heavy build, with a bald head and dark stubble. He was wearing a black leather jacket, a white polo shirt and dark blue jeans with a white O on the front.

No vehicle was seen.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw a man matching the description in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt Allison Wiggin at Warwick Central SNT on 01926 451111m extension 4361, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
